Custom Wedding Toppers For Your Big Day!

Wedding Cupcake & Cocktail Toppers

Personalised cupcake toppers aren't just for the dessert table anymore - couples are using them on cocktails too, and honestly, it's one of the loveliest little touches you can add to a wedding day.

The detail that makes guests do a double-take

You've spent months planning every detail of your wedding - the flowers, the stationery, the seating plan. But it's often the small, unexpected things that guests remember most. Imagine your monogram or wedding logo floating on top of every cocktail glass at your drinks reception. Or your initials on a tray of cupcakes that greet guests as they arrive. It's the kind of thing people photograph, talk about, and remember long after the day is done.

Wafer cupcake toppers are perfect for this. They're lightweight, they sit beautifully on top of drinks and bakes alike, and because they're edible, there's no fuss - guests can sip, eat, and enjoy without having to fish anything out. They're also tiny enough to feel like a whisper of personalisation rather than an announcement, which is exactly the right energy for a wedding.

What can you put on them?

This is where it gets fun. Some of our favourite ideas:

  • Your initials or monogram - a classic for a reason. Clean, elegant, timeless.
  • Your wedding logo or crest - if you've had one designed for your stationery, this is a brilliant way to carry it through to the food and drink
  • Your wedding date - simple but meaningful, especially on the cupcakes at the dessert table
  • A motif that means something to you - your first home's door number, a flower from your bouquet, even your dog's face (yes, really — we see it all the time and it's always a hit)
  • Something playful for the drinks - "cheers!" in a font that matches your invitations, or a little heart, or your hashtag

For cocktail toppers specifically, keep the design simple and high-contrast, something that reads well when it's floating on a drink. Monograms and logos work brilliantly here.

How do cocktail toppers actually work?

They're wafer cupcake toppers - the same ones you'd use on a cake or bake, just placed on top of a drink instead. Because wafer paper is lightweight, it sits on the surface of the liquid without sinking straight away, giving your guests that gorgeous moment when they pick up their glass and see your initials looking back at them.

A few tips for getting the best result:

  • Use them just before serving - wafer paper softens over time, so you want to pop them on just as the drinks go out, not an hour before
  • Works best on still drinks or drinks with a foam top - Champagne, cocktails with egg white, or anything with a creamy layer. Fizzy drinks can make the topper sink a little faster, so time it right
  • Keep designs simple - fine details can get a little lost on a small topper, so opt for bold, clean designs that hold their shape
  • Match the size to the glass - our standard cupcake toppers (40mm) are ideal for most cocktail glasses and champagne flutes.

Cupcakes: the alternative to a traditional wedding cake

More and more couples are skipping the traditional tiered wedding cake in favour of a beautifully styled cupcake tower - and personalised toppers are what take it from a lovely idea to something that feels properly considered and cohesive.

Some approaches we love:

One design, repeated - your monogram on every cupcake, arranged in a tower. Elegant and striking, especially with a uniform frosting colour underneath.

Mix of designs - different toppers on different flavours, so guests can tell at a glance which is which. Practical and pretty.

A keepsake tier - a small cutting cake for the two of you at the top, surrounded by a sea of personalised cupcakes for your guests. Best of both worlds.

Dessert table with a theme - cupcakes, brownies, shortbread, and mini cakes, all with matching toppers. Cohesive, generous, and incredibly photogenic.

Planning your wedding toppers: a few things to know.

We print toppers onto icing or wafer paper, and both work beautifully for weddings - it really comes down to personal preference and what you're putting them on.

Icing toppers give a slightly sharper print and a creamier, matte finish. Great for cupcakes.

Wafer toppers are a little more delicate and have a slightly translucent quality that looks gorgeous on drinks or lighter-coloured frostings.

For weddings, we'd suggest ordering a few days before the event and storing them somewhere cool and dry. Once you open the pack, use them within a few days for the best result.

And if you're ordering in bulk for a big wedding - get in touch. We're happy to help with large orders and can chat through the best options for what you have in mind.

The simplest way to personalise your wedding

You don't need a huge budget or a complicated brief to make your wedding feel like you. A monogram on a cocktail. Your initials on a cupcake. A little detail that ties everything together and makes your guests feel like they've noticed something special.

That's what we're here for.
