How Far in Advance Should I Order a Cake Topper?
Order as little as the same day you need it, or as far ahead as you like - our toppers keep for at least 2 months once they arrive, so there's no need to cut it fine, but no need to panic-order early either.
Here's how the timing actually works, so you can plan around whatever you're celebrating.
If you're ordering for something soon (UK orders)
We dispatch every order placed before 2pm, Monday to Friday, on the same day. Order after 2pm and it goes out the next working day instead. We work Monday to Friday, excluding UK bank holidays, so factor that in if your celebration falls right after one.
Once it's shipped, UK orders go via Royal Mail with a next-day delivery aim, and you'll get a tracking email so you can follow it the whole way.
In short: if you're ordering on a weekday before 2pm, you can realistically have your topper in hand within 1-2 working days.
If you're planning further ahead
This is where it gets easy. Once your topper arrives, it'll keep for at least 2 months with no special effort - and if you store it in an airtight container, it can last up to 6 months. The exact use-by date is printed clearly on the packet, so you'll always know exactly where you stand.
That means if you know you've got a big celebration coming up - a wedding, a milestone birthday, an event you're organising months out - there's genuinely no downside to ordering early and getting it ticked off your list. Just keep it airtight until you need it.
One thing worth knowing: once you open the packet, we'd recommend using the topper within 10 days for the best taste and quality, so there's no need to open it until you're actually ready to use it.
Ordering from outside the UK
If you're further afield, it's worth building in a bit more time:
- Europe: 3-5 working days via untracked international airmail
- US, Canada, Australia: 5-7 working days via untracked international airmail
Since these are untracked, we'd suggest ordering with a bit of buffer either side of your celebration date, especially during busier postal periods.

- Planning ahead? Order whenever suits you - your topper will keep for months, unopened, in an airtight container.
- Ordering internationally? Build in a few extra days for transit, since it's untracked.
